With Head Office Operations in Ottawa, Ontario, Double Insight Inc. is a fast-growing designer and manufacturer of small smart kitchen appliances at the global level. Instant Pot has become a recognized brand already in the rapidly expanding smart and connected kitchen appliances markets. Double Insight has an immediate opening for a Brand Manager.

The Brand Manager will be responsible for creating a lasting impression among consumers and improving product sales and market share ensuring advertising and marketing activities promote the right image. Continuously monitors marketing trends keeping a close eye on competitive products in the marketplace.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with the Marketing manager and Senior leadership, the Brand Manager serves as the point-person for developing, implementing and executing marketing plans for the InstantPot brand. These initiatives and activities include campaigns (print, online, social media, broadcast, etc.), events, corporate programs and sponsorships
  • Corporate web design/implementation and content management
  • Strategic market analysis using Amazon and other social media tools (brand messaging etc.)
  • Prepares Amazon and other channel copywrites
  • Monitors market trends and oversees advertising and marketing activities to ensure the right message is delivered about the InstantPot Product(s)
  • Drives social media strategy including Pinterest, twitter content and InstantPot blogging management
  • Works closely with Double Insight team, including product developers/managers and marketing team personnel and creative agencies to make sure the company brand values and image are followed
  • Collaborates and maintains relationships with external agencies to manage and execute on marketing communication, promotional programs, sales kit content, packaging design and other marketing collaterals
  • Works closely with the Product Manager to develop the collateral material (packaging, manuals etc.… for each new and existing product)
  • Attends product launches, conferences and exhibitions
  • Responsible for overseeing the entire creative process for a single product, or group of products
  • Detects trends and identifies potential areas in which to invest, based upon consumer needs and spending habits
  • Examines product pricing and profit potential
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues
  • When preparing marketing literature and campaigns, ensures the designs and messages meet the company brand and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitors product distribution and consumer reactions through focus groups and market research


  • University Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Minimum 5 yrs. experience in the consumer products industry preferably in kitchenware space
  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Strong understanding of consumer marketing principles in brand management, retail and online channels
  • Business savvy and the ability to multitask are all essential
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  • Proven experience and instincts about future product concepts
  • Good listener, able to respond to results of consumer research
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of people from different parts of the business
  • Effective Team leader, able to inspire others
  • Able to manage different projects at the same time
  • Deadline driven and enjoys the creative process
  • Energetic and passionate about the InstantPot product
  • Organised and methodical
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preparation skills
